Digitale Desinformation – der neue Standard im Onlinewahlkampf?

Background Discussion

In the elections in the United Kingdom, many political parties used manipulative tactics during their online election campaigns. Opaque social media advertising, out-of-context videos, xenophobic messenger threads and leaked documents threaten to become a staple of campaign toolboxes.

How harmful were such online tactics? And what can be done to counter these developments in German campaigns? I will be discussing this with Sam Jeffers, co-founder of the UK NGO Who Targets Me, on February 4, 2020 at 6:30 pm. His organization specializes in monitoring digital election campaigns and analyzed the British campaigns of 2017 and 2019 as well as the European Parliament elections.

I would be delighted if you joined the discussion, which will be conducted in English. You can register for the event here (see below). Please share this invitation with interested colleagues and friends.
