Project Director (Jr.) "Cybersecurity Policy and Resilience"
Rebecca Beigel is Project Director (Jr.) for Cybersecurity Policy and Resilience at the Stiftung Neue Verantwortung (SNV). Her work focuses on cyber capacity building, cybersecurity policy exercises in country-specific contexts and German cybersecurity policy. Rebecca has designed and implemented cybersecurity policy exercises in various countries, such as Armenia, Kosovo, Mexico and South Africa.
Rebecca has spoken at national and international conferences and events, including the Global Constellation Annual Conference in Cape Town and the Regional Conference on Cybersecurity Capacity Building in Montenegro. She has also been featured in podcasts and published opinion pieces, e.g. in Frankfurter Rundschau and Security Insider.
Before joining SNV, Rebecca worked at the Munich Security Conference, Chatham House, the Centre for International Peace Operations and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung in Israel. Rebecca holds a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Heidelberg as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Media Management from the Department of Journalism and Communication Research of the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media. During her studies, she studied abroad in Finland and the United States.
