Karen Schmiady

Karen joined SNV in May 2022 as a fundraiser. She studied Languages and Applied Translatology at Leipzig University and Pyatigorsk State University, Russia. Before joining the world of nonprofit fundraising, Karen worked as a freelance translator for five years. At Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust and Red Balloon Learner Centers in Cambridge (UK), Karen gained experience in trusts and foundations as well as major donor fundraising. Before joining SNV, Karen was a Senior Fundraising Manager at Kiron Open Higher Education in Berlin.
