Alexander Hohlfeld

Student Assistant "Strengthening the Digital Public Sphere and Platform Regulation"

Alexander Hohlfeld supports the project "Approaches to Analyse and Evaluate of AI-Based Recommendation Systems for Internet Intermediaries" as a student assistant. Previously, he was a student assistant in the project on "Digital News and Information Literacy".  

He deals primarily with topics in the area of "Strengthening the Digital Public Sphere". This includes in particular the role of digital platforms in social processes as well as regulatory and educational policy approaches. 

After completing his Bachelor's degree in Political Science at Leibniz Universität Hannover, he is now studying for a Master's degree in Social Sciences at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He previously gained practical experience in civic education at the Institute for Didactics of Democracy in Hanover where he supported several Erasmus+ education projects dealing with extremism, conspiracy theories, and empowerment. During an internship at the German Bundestag Committee for Education, Research, and Technology Assessment, he gained insights into parliamentary procedures.
