Artificial Intelligence and Challenges to the Human Rights Regime

As the second of three workshops in the "Artificial Intelligence and Foreign Policy" project, this workshop convened a group of diverse experts to discuss how machine learning technologies present not only ethical dilemmas, but also violate basic human rights. Together with the project team, experts discussed both challenges to the human rights regime due to rapid development and deployment of ML technologies, as well as potential policy instruments and enforcement mechanisms to combat these violations.
