Countering Terrorism in the EU: Annual Conference 2018 -- Actions, trends, and gaps

Conference

This annual conference will present the European Union’s response to the threat of terrorism in key areas such as information-sharing, terrorist financing, and radicalisation. At the heart of the conference will be the latest legislation to modify EU information systems, to fight money laundering by criminal law, and to criminalise travelling and training for terrorist purposes as well as the need for new legislative proposals, e.g. to remove terrorist content online. Kilian Vieth's talk "Intelligence-sharing: a logical next step?" focuses on legal and practical challenges of intelligence sharing and resulting accountability gaps.
