Cyber Offense vs. Privacy Defense at CPDP

Panel Discussion

Sven Herpig was invited to share his insights on the development of national vulnerability management processes – similar to the vulnerability equities process (VEP) in the United States – with the distinguished audience of the annual Computers, Privacy & Data Protection (CPDP) conference in Brussels. The panel was chaired by Lina Jasmontaite (Vrije Universiteit Brussel) and moderated by Professor Tal Zarsky (University of Haifa). The discussion revolved around how cyber offense inflicts privacy violations and how privacy safeguards limit the effectiveness of offensive cyber operations.
