Cybersecurity Policy Exercise in Jordan

Workshop

On November 18, 2021, the Stiftung Neue Verantwortung’s “International Cybersecurity Policy” team conducted a virtual cybersecurity policy exercise in Jordan, adapted to the country based on a previous pre-exercise-workshop.

The starting point of this interactive and discussion-based tabletop exercise was a hypothetical IT security incident involving services used by refugees in the country, among others. Participants practiced analytical and strategic assessment using the Jordanian Cybersecurity Framework for the financial sector developed in 2021, and identified coordination and communication actions between different stakeholders responsible for responding to a cyber incident.

The exercise took place as part of the project "Cybersecurity Exercises in Country-Specific Contexts," commissioned by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
