International Futures: Cybersecurity Policy Scenario Workshop

Workshop

The International Futures program is a two-week training program open to diplomats and leaders from civil society. It is organized jointly by the German Federal Foreign Office and the German Council of Foreign Relations (DGAP). Participating countries are Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, South Africa and Germany. The program is embedded in the four-month Managing Global Governance (MGG) Academy, the training format of the Managing Global Governance (MGG) program. The MGG program is largely funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by the German Institute of Development and Sustainability.

For the International Futures program, Rebecca Beigel and Dr. Alexandra Paulus will conduct a scenario workshop in which participants will respond to a cybersecurity incident. To prepare participants for the workshop, Rebecca Beigel and Dr. Alexandra Paulus will hold input presentations on cybersecurity basics and specific background knowledge relevant to the scenario. During the workshop, participants will analyze the actors, processes, and resources involved in responding to a cybersecurity incident.
