Aspen AI Conference 2021 - Setting the Stage Discussion

Podiumsdiskussion

The Aspen Institute Germany held its fourth annual AI Conference on December 1 and 2, 2021. During the hybrid Aspen Berlin Conference on Artificial Intelligence, participants from across the world came together in a hybrid setting for discussion formats including keynotes, two-on-one conversations, and panel discussions, taking place in English. In the eye of the COVID-19 pandemic, the overarching question of this Aspen Berlin AI Conference was: how can we make our societies more resilient? And what role can artificial intelligence play in this? These and other questions were explored at #AspenAI21 with policymakers, innovators, philosophers, scientists and representatives from business, media and civil society.

Stefan Heumann, Member of the SNV Management Board, participated in the opening discussion "Setting the Stage" together with Prof. Joanna Bryson, Professor of Ethics and Technology, Hertie School. The discussion was moderated by Kim Larsen, Principal, Bressler, Amery&Ross; President, Friends of Aspen Germany, Washington, D.C. Due to current circumstances, the conference was held under 2G-Plus regulations and attendance was strictly limited.
